This has more to do with Amazon and other online retailers taking business away from brick and mortar stores. This is a trend that has been going on since the closing of Circuit City, Tower Records, and so on in the 2000s

You mean their CEO at each of those is a wanna be Libertarian that will insist on implementing a version of that belief pitting each sector of the business against the other only for them to care more about making $ for their sector than the overall companies health like Sears?
