Trump has repeatedly called the media the "enemy of the people." The phrase has made many people recoil especially because of its centrality in a chilling moment of 20th century history: Josef Stalin's 1930s show trialshttps://www.axios.com/trump-reminder-stalin-enemy-of-people-f1e22406-5626-4747-ac61-28afde1b38f4.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organic&utm_content=1100 …

Who is the real enemy of the people? Many times it's ourselves, by our complicity or our complacency....get out there and be part of the solution!

'Everything' #Trump says from now on is no longer rhetoric, a dogwhistle/foghorn, or some sort of double speak to be interpreted Everything @POTUS says, down every camera and microphone, is a call to arms!

He differentiates by saying “fake news” is the enemy of the people. In reality, any news he doesn’t like is considered “fake” so it’s a roundabout way of saying that the press is the enemy of the people, without having to say the exact words so he can then deny he ever said it.

Sadly, many trump supporters haven't recoiled Instead, they've embraced the destructive ramblings of their mentally ill, fear mongering, self-serving president, for a false sense of control and safety "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" G. Santayana
