EXCLUSIVE: President Trump plans to sign an executive order that would remove the right to citizenship for babies of non-citizens and unauthorized immigrants born on U.S. soil.https://www.axios.com/trump-birthright-citizenship-executive-order-0cf4285a-16c6-48f2-a933-bd71fd72ea82.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twsocialshare&utm_campaign=organic …

In an exclusive interview for "Axios on HBO," Trump said that he has run the idea of ending birthright citizenship by his counsel. "It was always told to me that you needed a constitutional amendment. Guess what? You don't," Trump said.https://www.axios.com/trump-birthright-citizenship-executive-order-0cf4285a-16c6-48f2-a933-bd71fd72ea82.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twsocialshare&utm_campaign=organic …

Ending birthright citizenship would be the most dramatic move yet in Trump's hardline immigration campaign, this time targeting "anchor babies" and "chain migration." And it will undoubtedly set off another stand-off with the courts.https://www.axios.com/trump-birthright-citizenship-executive-order-0cf4285a-16c6-48f2-a933-bd71fd72ea82.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organic …

Few immigration and constitutional scholars believe it is within the president's power to change birthright citizenship. But some conservatives argue that the 14th Amendment has been misapplied for decades.https://www.axios.com/trump-birthright-citizenship-executive-order-0cf4285a-16c6-48f2-a933-bd71fd72ea82.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=organic …

Maybe you should! I have read what various attorneys & constitutional attorneys have said before I responded to the tweet in the first place. I try to stay informed by reading various sources. Try it!

That’s it. I’m getting a MAGA hat. Why haven’t the Congress tried to end this insane loophole in the constitution that was never intended to allow foreign born nationals a pathway to citizenship through anchor babies. Trump found a winner on this one.

Because the vast majority of US Citizens are of immigrant descent. Like Irish, Italian, Dutch, German, Mexican, Canadian, etc. That's why it exists in the first place. Your country's citizen population would be very tiny had it not been added to the constitution.

Which means they are not immigrants. By law, the are called illegal aliens. All the democrats believed in border enforcement roughly 2 years ago. It’s funny how that all changed due to trump derangement syndrome.

Glad there is an admittance to that. Ellis island... the nation was built upon degenerates and those fleeing from their country. The Americas was looked upon as land of opportunity, freedom, & seek asylum. It also was built through theft of sovereign land & genocide.

There should be no confusion here. The article is saying it would apply to undocumented, not legal immigrants.
