This is inaccurate and misleading. There are critical differences among internally-displaced persons, refugees and asylum-seekers.

by definition, refugees are persons OUTSIDE their home country having crossed an international border - "A refugee is someone who has been forced to flee his or her country because of persecution, war or violence."

You're confusing IDPs (internally displaced) and refugees (displaced outside of their home country)

OMG, ANOTHER violent attack at the border! And it looks like they're going after our national pastime! God have mercy!pic.twitter.com/98xVXNzSrt

This is wrong. By definition, refugees must cross an international border. Internationally displaced persons (IDPs) who are displaced w/in their own country have humanitarian needs but are not “refugees” & generally not candidates for resettlement.

Why didn't these INVADERS stop in Mexico. They could have easily asked for asylum there. They were offered jobs & homes, but still said NO.
