I personally find that it's less about the "haha" vs "lol" and more about the amount of has or lols. "Hahahahahahaha" or "lololololol" just are sort of more impactful, you know?

And context! I reserve a "haha" for something that is mildly funny and "lololol" for something surprisingly delightful.

also a single "Lol" has sorta taken on a condescending tone in certain contexts, U KNO??
