You're right. Movies sometimes imply you'd die really fast. This thought won't help when you try to calm down. Considering his advice you shouldn't wait until you can't feel your legs anymore though. ;D

Yeah, I can't feel my limbs after swimming around a few minutes in a cold mountain stream - can't imagine what this is like.
