I have a WeMo Maker which can programmatically supply the power but annoyingly can't reverse polarity.

the process of what you need to do is boost 12V to 24V and create a virtual ground at +12V, which the WeMo controls.

note that I also need to be able to supply 0V (stop the motor). Maybe use a different WeMo switch for that :)
