OK, read EMV Payment Tokenisation Spec. Not nearly as complicated as I imagined if you wave your hands over the Token Cryptogram.
@petrillic @twleung I'm pretty impressed by Apple Pay, overall. They're serious about this "we don't want your data" thing.

@avibryant@twleung agreed. And the only worry is that the Token Cryptogram design isn't public as far as I can tell. That worries me. -
@twleung@avibryant always suspicious of any cryptosystem that's not fully public -
@petrillic@avibryant as should we all.

@avibryant@petrillic Not to mention that they seem to have really scared PayPal, which is a plus. -
@twleung@petrillic I have to admit to being particularly happy about that part. -
@avibryant@twleung appears the Token Cryptogram spec is in here. Need to read and contemplate. http://www.emvco.com/download_agreement.aspx?id=653 … /cc@mattblaze

@avibryant@petrillic I believe they are serious about privacy. Question is do they have the security chops to make good. -
@twleung@avibryant they didn't design it. The card brands did.
