Do high scores in employee happiness surveys just reflect growth, since new employees are likely happy with a job they just agreed to take?

@andrewcatton the only reasonable way to do such studies is by cohort, and including an implicit "unhappy" rating for ex-employees. -
@avibryant@andrewcatton You could also look at survival times to estimate the hazard rate and ignore explicit ratings all together.

@andrewcatton Would you rather work in a company that might lay people off soon or one that is growing? The survey would still be valid.
