Hm, http://kitesdk.org/docs/current/ definitely looks interesting, but the docs are too sparse for me to tell much. Is there a good writeup somewhere?
@esammer thanks, that was very helpful. Will it continue to be this closely tied to Avro? (Which seems reasonable, but less useful for us).

@avibryant only the in mem representation. On disk it can be anything (Avro and parquet today). Does that help? Something specific needed? -
@esammer we use .thrift to describe schemas, and Scrooge-generated classes for in-memory representation. Switching to avro would be a pain.
