@boulderDanH @chadfowler why would it?
@bscofield @chadfowler and yet those same tools give you no help when you do hit a wall of needing to understand more.

@avibryant@chadfowler of course - but isn't the same true of debuggers et al? there's always the possibility of a lower-level failureThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@avibryant@chadfowler my argument is that being forced to go to a lower level to diagnose a higher-level problem is, itself, a problemThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@avibryant@chadfowler corollary: you should tend towards making more information available in higher-level tools -
@bscofield@chadfowler agreed. Mostly I think it's a failure that we don't have integrated, interactive tools which span that continuum. -
@bscofield@avibryant probably need to switch to smalltalk -
@chadfowler@bscofield I think the question of how you bring Smalltalk's direct interaction/debugging to distributed systems is a great one. -
@avibryant@chadfowler@bscofield Welp, time to reimplement the Hadoop ecosystem in Smalltalk I guess.
