@avibryant great looking pup! How old?

@drewconway 6 months. (So, old for a puppy, but means she comes partially pre-trained.) -
@avibryant she's beautiful. But you'll have plenty of training left to do. Working breeds: smart, but willful. -
@drewconway yep. Luckily (I think) we actually want her to work; she'll have some fowl to protect. -
@avibryant@drewconway Mmmm, I hope she was socialized with fowl in those 6 months. That's how it works training guard breeds. -
@avibryant@drewconway At least with sheep guard dogs; I imagine the principle is the same. -
@peterseibel@drewconway yep. Although she primarily lived with sheep, she did get to interact (+bond, I hope) with fowl. We'll see. -
@avibryant way back when our family adopted a border collie who had trained with sheep and he was great with our chickens (rnd data point)

@avibryant d'aww. (No showing my kids.) -
@marcprecipice well, you should clearly move to Bernal Heights (close to the office!), where it's pretty much mandatory to have a dog. -
@avibryant clearly true and hoped-for.

@avibryant One presumes the puppy's Twitter account activation is merely pending a naming decision. -
@attaboy@avibryant Her name's Pomelo. I'm not sure she'll have time to Tweet, she's got a full-time gig. -
@emmaluna@avibryant A lot of folks use Twitter to talk about their work with colleagues and like minded professionals.
