Most managers are at their desks maybe 5% of the time; remote managers are at their desks all day long. Who's more available to their team?

@avibryant I will say that in-person observation tells me more about someone than Skype/Vidyo, and that I think that helps me help them. -
@marcprecipice I wonder how much 10 minutes of in-person per day compares in that way to 8 hours of IRC & IM? Tradeoffs, always tradeoffs. -
