@avibryant explain more as I'm becoming remote soon, this is something I'd like to see improve over time

@cra if you're on speakerphone and everyone else is together in a conference room, you're at a massive disadvantage.

@avibryant any theory as to why that is? -
.
@rbxbx what@bobmcwhirter said (http://bob.mcwhirter.org/blog/2010/09/13/remote-worker-distributed-team/ … if you missed it): it's whether you're participating fully in the team's communication -
@avibryant@bobmcwhirter ah totally. That's largely been my experience as well. <3 distributed teams.

@avibryant How many hours do you do in a week on average? -
@arsatiki I try to work a pretty standard ~40hr work week. Sometimes I come back online at night but not that often. -
@avibryant Sounds almost optimal :-)

@avibryant I manage a mixed team. I force them to do all communication that doesn’t need to be private in a team Campfire room. Works well. -
@larrywright@avibryant management by force! i like it -
@wm@avibryant I use the term force loosely. I strongly encouraged & it didn’t take long for them to see the benefit. No threats needed :)
