I'm assuming a study was made with a control group not going to school? Otherwise it's hard to rule out other things as brain's age, social development, media consumption, society's gratification of conformity in general, or other things that influence or drive that.

Great post.. Thnx for sharing. Innovation and creativity go hand in hand. Games play a major role in both. Timely reminder for our educators, politicians and parents.

Are u fans of Ken Robinson ? ..his TED Talks +RSAnimate [youtube videos] have spoken to this key problem of our outdated, *Industrial Age* (mechanistic) school system. We still train kids in the *same 1800's education model* that kills creativity.

I'm pretty sure it's oxygen. Or food. Yeah, it's definitely all that eatin' & breathin' that screws us up. The correlation is OBVIOUS. Creativity is certainly critical, but coming up with bad ideas is not the measure of genius and blaming schools isn't a very creative answer...

I agree. I was tested and placed in a "gifted" program when I was 10. We did macrame and meditation 3 hrs. a day. I missed math, science and social studies to participate. They wanted me to coast while the other kids caught up. I wasn't fooled.

What about children in countries that didn’t get to go to school are they creative geniuses? Is it the education or maturing mind causality from correlations data not good science most likely the test is flawed
