@avantgame Depending on the bite, it needs to be cleaned out professionally, too--dangerous bacteria potentially lurk within.

@lauraehall we tried to do it ourselves, probably a bad idea. :( it was too late for doctor and ER is so expensive. -
@avantgame I'm sure it's fine if you've cleaned it! Keep an eye out for flu-like symptoms, headache, etc. Hope he feels better soon :( -
@lauraehall argh so scary. Kiyash is sure he will be fine because he doesn't worry about eerything like I do :)

@avantgame if she is anything short of utterly apologetic and offering to help in every way she can, then she shouldn't have a dog. -
@jatosha exactly... it's that she wouldn't leash it and seems so blase that makes me feel obligated to report it to animal control. -
@avantgame So irresponsible. Yes, if she reacted differently & helpfully, maybe a report wouldn't be necessary. I hope@kiyash is ok.

@avantgame I might recommend calling local Animal Control for advice; if her dog isn't vaccinated, could put your dog at risk :( -
@GundamCat13 the dog bit my HUSBAND not another dog!!! -
@avantgame Oh, I totally misunderstood! Oops O_o Then even worse - you should def contact someone official.

@avantgame Are you in SF? Home of "I don't need to leash my dog, even if he attacks a police horse"? -

@avantgame You should ask her to provide proof of rabies vaccination. Unfortunately, if the dog isn't vaccinated, and you report it... -
@avantgame ...the dog will very likely (depending on the state/local laws) be killed to test it for rabies. -
@avantgame There's almost no way to punish the owner that doesn't involve the death of the dog many places. Do some research on local law. -
@schezar that's why we tried to work it out with her. -
@avantgame Having been put in a similar situation before, it's tough. If you involve police, it's probably the best choice in this case...

@avantgame Please call the police and report it. This happened a few years ago and I regret not calling. The dog went on to bite again. - 1 more reply

@avantgame I would say yes to calling the police, but I worry that they'd do something to the dog and not the woman.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
