I am terrified of the Occulus Rift future, that will be the year I am officially old and no longer understand anything.

@avantgame Have you read Ernest Cline's Ready Player One? Fantastic book, but the crazy VR stuff is pretty intriguing and/or horrifying.

@avantgame however, the rift folks seems to be taking the sim sickness issue very seriously. They are talking about all the right research.

@avantgame @frankjonen argument was made against books too. VR has many great possibilities and some terrifying ones. Stay critical but fair

@RobrechtJ @avantgame BTW it’s not the book that induces the motion sickness. It’s the bent neck, muscle strain and slight bobbing motion.

@frankjonen @avantgame also the difference between apparent and actual motion. Which is also the case for the rift.
