@avantgame In WA, it costs $45 to get an id, plus trip to DOL. For elder, sick, poor, both can be hard. Happily, WA has mail-in voting!

@avantgame just watched folks showing ID w/o being asked in CA (no voterID req). Perception that it's req'd is insidious.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@avantgame It's pretty standard in Canada. You also have to provide a proof of address if you're not registered.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@avantgame There are many people (lots of old people) who do not have gov. issued ID. They do not drive, and have not traveld out of the us -
@ZibbyZ I have to say, that blows my mind. You have to show ID so often in Canada, you have to have it. But healthcards count, so .... -
@analyticeye When you vote, you tell your name, confirm your address and they give you a ballot. If you send it in you fill it out & sign it -
@ZibbyZ ah. Sounds pretty similar. -
@analyticeye if for some reason you are not on the list of registered voters you fill out a provisional ballot - to be checked out later -
@ZibbyZ That's good. I'm glad it is not a barrier to voting. :) -
@analyticeye well, it is not that simple. different in every state. sigh. http://www.aclu.org/know-your-voting-rights-state-state-voter-information …

@avantgame This subject is killing me today. How do people not grasp that voter fraud is virtually a myth and it's all about suppression?Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
