I think this is a big conceptual/community divide in @G4C games "about" stuff vs games "to do" stuff, change mind vs change behavior/outcome
@b_cavello @G4C this isn't a "content" game but it's not about "happier" it's about impact on pain eg http://nbcnews.to/TGPMOt via @avantgame

@avantgame Definitely a hopeful story! I'm cautious in regards to many people's relationship with media as a device for escapism over action -
@b_cavello by the way the quote is "Play, and ART" :) -
@avantgame Yes, sorry! I ran out of characters. >.<! I suppose we've run into a philosophical roadblock of sorts. -
@b_cavello Sartre was an existentialist too. :) -
@avantgame Yes, an atheist one. He believed in overcoming crisis through (essentially) distraction. Believing in universal morals I cannot. -
@b_cavello okay. I see! and thank you for the food for thought! :) -
@avantgame Thank you! I admire what you're doing to promote socially conscious game design. I hope to contribute to that memespace, as well!

@avantgame@b_cavello@G4C if you want people to take action and change behavior, there is a thesis / theory involved, beyond game design -
@aburak@b_cavello@G4C I think Find the Future is a good example of a game that does something that doesn't require thesis/theory (??)

@avantgame@G4C@b_cavello agree not all g4c need to be "about something", but they are always based on "something" - also the VR example.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
