What would your scheduling suggestion be Courtney?

It should absolutely be that the men come on after the women. Why should the women, in one of the biggest matches of their lives, have to have the uncertainty of when they'll start, with all that entails? It's terrible.

The doubles players will also be playing one of the biggest matches of their lives ... but they don't matter?

They're considerably more used to it. Singles has always taken precidence on GS finals days. I take your point and ideally it'd be the same for everyone but that's not possible.

Good reasoned response but I'm still going to carry on my high horse. Just because doubles players are used to it doesn't make it right. They have earned their spot in the limelight, surely?

Yeah they have. I can't argue with you. It's just someone has to miss out. The unfortunate truth is that doubles receives less interest so they're treated less well. Not right, but a fact. Alternate years as first on centre?

My preferred solution would be just banning Isner and then there wouldn't be any scheduling problems. Probably not the most equitable solution though.
