On LBJ's assist comments on #Selma. Can't argue, but EVERY biopic - Imitation, Theory, Foxcatcher has MAJOR historical flaws this season.

I can argue, . Notion that Selma was LBJ's idea is jaw dropping and offensive to SNCC, SCLC and black citizens who made it so.
@AVAETC Should have phrased diff. Was trying to focus on the point that biopics are NOT historical docs! (Although Imitation pisses me off)

I've read extensively on JFK, LBJ, MLK and CRM over the years. This is first I've heard it was LBJ's idea. Amazing. @AVAETC

@AVAETC LBJ historian also says he supported Selma/VRA. Shouldn’t need to make LBJ a bad guy to portray MLK as hero. politico.com/magazine/story

@AVAETC More than jaw dropping it's a lie. LBJ was more than upset when Dr King exposed the Veitnam slaughter.

@AVAETC there's an active effort to take away every accomplishment from black America.

@AVAETC just because LBJ benefited from Selma doesn't mean it was his idea.
