This is not kindness. This is cruelty. We are better than this. Shut down open drug markets. Jail dealers. Make addicts choose: rehab or jail. @chesaboudin, @LondonBreed, @MattHaneySF, @AaronPeskin & @myrnamelgar's policies have failed. Recall @chesaboudin & vote wisely, SF.pic.twitter.com/Vj6jr2sZ3T

      1. Don't post pics of ppl needing medical care. You're taking advantage of their pain to push your own unkind, judgy agenda. 2. Safe supply, Housing-First, safe consumption sites are kind. 3. Substance use disorder is best treated in med/mental health centres, not punitive ones.

I can think of other places in history where people were taken away and buried in secret, and the public had no idea what was going onhttps://twitter.com/auweia1/status/1387019437908271107 …

Housing first doesn't kill, poisoned drugs do. I've spent many years working in supportive housing and outreach. Before poisoned drug crisis hit, people weren't wheeled out anywhere near as often. People need to stop spreading lies about housing-first.

I've lived in supportive housing for 20 years. I've seen more dead bodies than I can count. Housing First enables the poisoning and you people need to stop spreading lies that supportive housing is anything other than a poison drug distribution networkhttps://twitter.com/auweia1/status/1111057199579590656 …

Any other industry where the death rate was 19 times higher than everything else, they would be shut down immediately and the owners prosecuted. It takes place on private property and the property owners/property management is legally responsible for ithttps://twitter.com/auweia1/status/1308362962902474757 …

It's really sad all those deaths gave happened. SRO hotels aren't supportive housing, often are mistaken to be and will label themselves as such, but don't have the proper teams, connections, med program, skills groups and resources to work the model. Very misleading to residents
