Right now these streets are functionally no different from any other street in my neighborhood. Again, I had to fix 17!! signs in the space of the handful of blocks marked here.

For these street to work for people (rather than cars), we need permanently installed signs & design features, better maintenance, more community outreach & education, and probably some (non-police) enforcement. At least some street parking should be removed too--it's not safe.

Welcome to my world. Thanks for doing that. You really are helping to make our streets safer once people see that we care about our streets.

As a fellow sign fixer during my morning dog walks I’ve noticed the full sized barriers that SDOT put out have helped on Beacon Hill... I have noticed that the smaller ones fall over on windy days.

Yeah, there's definitely a need for bigger, tougher signage and barriers. Doesn't help that the ones here are all bent up, which means it's even easier for them to be knocked over.
Respect for your initiative, but speaking as a daily and carless pedestrian, at least around LC, they are removed/knocked over because they are unsafe, doing absolutely nothing but creating accident risk. They make even less sense in the rainy season.
