Well, this is why we complain when you do those sweeping gestures. This right here encapsulates everything wrong with YouTube. This is you not doing something very simple when it's very simple to do. This right here is you not understanding your own platform.

This is a problem. You know how you do sweeping things that negatively effect people who are doing nothing wrong and people complain that you're punishing everyone instead of making your platform harder to abuse?pic.twitter.com/LoHYaM4vkC

There's no reason why people who block a channel should see that channel's content in their recommendations. Like all you have to do is set up recommendations for what you are recommending with an exception for content that a user has blocked.

I meant this would even be able to protect children and give more power to parents. You know, that thing that you say you care about. Imagine. I block a channel from the profile my kid uses because the content is inappropriate.

If that content is in your recommendations then my kid can still see it? That's messed up. THAT is not enabling ME to protect my kid. That is guaranteeing that people whose content doesn't need to be in front of my kid can still get it there though.

That's why we don't believe you when you say you care about our kids. Or your users. Or anyone. You don't actually care about what we want. You won't do something simple to honor what we tell you we want: to not see something.
