Of course we all know that. We are well versed in Mahabarata Baratayuda RamaSinta stories and acknowledge our Hindu ancestors proudly. But which South Indian king colonised Java? I have never heard of that. Ram I am not familiar. Wisnu Kresna Brahma, I know. Thanks for replying.

Oh my bad. Was replying to someone else. Sorry for the miscommunication. And no I am not saying I don't acknowledge Indian influence in our culture. Respect goes a long way. I was commenting on someone saying we were colonised by India. That I didnt know.

Chola Dynasty under Rajendra Chola - I did invade and colonise a substantial part of South East Asia including Java, Sumatra, Suwarnbhoomi and probably that is where the Hindu influence came to these places from. Some reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajendra_Chola_I …

Oh you mean Sriwijaya. That's at the island of Sumatera which is different with Java btw. The Naga myth is largely found at Java, clearly Hindu influence. But never acknowledge or record King Chola attack. Thx for the reference.

I think we should stop calling our ancient Asian history as myth when there are geographical evidences of existence of places, ruins and literature corroborating We are still slave of West in our mind and call our rich history as myth till some western ‘researcher’ endorses it

My apology. I didn't realise your people believe The Naga really existed. The Naga myth I am refering to is from Hindu influenced Javanese wayang folklore passes on for generations.

In the ancient faith, what’s the worshiped is the ‘Shakti’ (means strength) So gods in the forms of various animals like Vishnu’s Snake incarnation or Lord Ganesh having an elephant head, are worshiped Because the belief is that they protected the weaker section of society
