Mitch Fifield gave 30 million dollars to Foxtel a pay TV company and won't give any details except to say it's so Foxtel will broadcast more women's sport. So if you want to see more women's sport you need to subscribe to foxtel so they can profit from you instead of free on ABC

Yes, we'll aware of that Joe. Had Telstra out to look at my modem then a linesman check my phone line, they found nothing wrong but I was told the system was overloaded with users. It is pathetic

LNP paid $30M to Foxtel last year, this year another $30M is paid over 4 years. Fifield in an interview said the monies were to boost Foxtel's subscriber base and in another instance promote women's sports. But it's just Payola to Murdoch at taxpayer's expense.

If they can afford such generosity then the Treasurer didn’t cut away enough fat. I vote for bigger budget cuts for the overblown ABC.

Perhaps it's time to sell the ABC license. Another commercial channel couldn't be any worse than the ABC is now. The sale could be on condition of ensuring a percentage of Australian content. It would stop the taxpayer funded drain and hopefully improve things.

The ABC has some of the highest paid public servants who are not accountable for their views or their ratings. They should not be paid a bonus.
