Cutting the immigration intake by tens of thousands a year would be the equivalent to losing a Wollongong every decadehttps://trib.al/iXB5ww6

No! It would not be “losing” it would be “not getting”. A reduction in immigration levels does not cause a reduction in population. Population will still increase but at a slower pace.

Better than Australia needing to build the equivalent of a city like Canberra every year to accommodate current pop growth of 384,000, 217,000 (about 60 per cent) which is net overseas migration. #populationponzi @PeterDutton_MP @SustPopAus @VoteSustainable

If Australia doesn’t continue to grow then we’ll simply fall behind the world as our GDP will fall and we’ll become non competitive. Australia is the worlds 7th largest country but our population doesn’t even make the top 50. We could easily have 70 to 100 million.

That would end up accumulating in Sydney or Melbourne. Enough already dial it way down.

I think we should lose a few parts of western Sydney and western Melbourne first up- we should start immediately!

Complete nonsense. Population growth should be directly connected to the birth rate and then work out overseas migration. What a stupid calculation.
