Has professionalisation in politics led to parties losing touch with people’s everyday concerns? https://trib.al/gc9Mvkh  @vanOnselenP

There should be a limit on how long you can be a politician... plus... the top jobs should be given more to people with business skills in more than one industry... just like senior management in corporate

True! Professional politicians have no political or moral convictions and could easily represent any party. They are the real populists, competing with the other side who can offer more to get elected. Being in power is all that matters. @theage @theheraldsun @politicsabc @smh

Corporate donations have corrupted the process. Buying access to politicians. Denies it to others. Who are never heard. The Murdoch Press with it's false narratives. Prevents any meaningful discussions. Creating battlelines that history will condemn them for.

No, careerism yes with an underlying conscience of kinship, elitism, righteousness and disrespect. A man-made religion, underpinned by political correctness of truth, where politicians have been indoctrinated by a sect of Scientology. #auspol

Not really- Malcolm Turnbull was/ is a successful businessman who turned to Politics like Trump- not sure success can be put down to professionalism of politics.
