Turn it around. Political crown of Aust can return to Aust & be placed upon collective head of indigenous nations who then appoint governors, as per current system. Allegiance pledged to entirety of indigenous nations who then may adopt Aust citizens into tribes, if would like to

If anyone's offering, I'll take the crown

Queen would need to effect transfer. Collective head would be the entirety of Aust indinegous nations. Figuratively represented by the council of elders of Australian Indigenous nations. Gathering at Uluru to carry out crown's work, as per current system. Possible & would work.

So what you want to do is take away our democracy and give it to the select few elders of the people that make up 3% of the population to rule us all without representation of the masses. That kinda sounds elitist.
-
No. Presently the Queen has the political crown of Australia & governors are heads of state. Elected parliament formulates, passes laws which are then signed into law. The crown would just return to Aust, processes & system would remain.

Indigenous local language, land lore, cultural traditions & rites ought to be basis of learning for all Australians. 65,000 yrs of history, it's a lot to be proud of. People need to be reconnected with their heritage, whether they have 60,000yrs of links or adopted into tribes.
