Politics of race and gender swamp Uni of Sydney’s oldest debating club, which will field teams comprised mainly of “non-cis-males, wom*n, and persons marginalised by white supremacy” as opposed to the best debatershttp://bit.ly/2IGcrMP

I think they should be audited and touchy-feely courses like feminists dance movement etc that has no prospect of jobs be dropped off from being able to receive HECS fees so those wanting to do courses that have job prospects get the money because it will be repaid

Why stop at debating? The @usuaccess should be applying its identity politics consistently, starting with its sports teams. There is nothing that speaks more of white private school male privilege than https://www.sydneyunirugby.com.au/

I'm 5' 2" and no-one ever picked me for the school netball team - it's just not fair. I'm also a bit fat and don't like to exercise much but my height shouldn't exclude me.

Sounds like a math debate to me... 😜but seriously, quota based selection v merit based selection is leading the world backwards surely? Is this the result of not having winners or losers in primary school sports?
