The most recent review undertaken by the Swedish government found it would take eight years of driving to recover the CO2 used to make the batteries for a well known brand of EV. Similar Chinese research says battery cars take 30 % more CO2 to produce than conventional cars.

French ones don't, German ones do. Our "transition to renewables" can't decarbonise our current load, let alone fuel the auto fleet too. We could ask how France does it, but the hysteria from the green cult would drown out any adult debate.

Unless you are driving your Tesla in France or one of the geographical areas with heavy hydro-electric or nuclear power...you are doing precious little more than virtue signaling.

Yes charging it may use that much but construction of the car and now the ore is mined from the earth Plus the transportation of the ore to the plants where they are then used to create materials used in construction of the car

In an argument where you say electric cars are better for the environment???? I guess we just pretend it doesn't exist just like abc pretends that there's evidence that Trump concluded Russia

I guess you are pretending the running of the car isnt better for the environment (which was what started this) and is therefor better for the environment. Keep your logic straight and dont chuck in red herrings.

It doesn't matter about the running of a car you also have to include the emissions that is created to build the car form the moment it is ore in the ground too the moment the car is put on to a junkyard heap the full life cycle of a car what you're suggesting is a part truth
