Clean coal is #PieInTheSky. It doesn't exist in the #HereAndNow. It's something for delusional coal addicts to salivate over. But check it out. Do some journalism. Try Boundary Dam, the Kemper Project & Petra Nova. #CCS, there, is either dead or obfuscated.pic.twitter.com/rZG9uKu597

The word "clean" is being used relatively. It's like saying "fast train". Yes, the train not as fast as a jet plane, but for a train, it's fast.

I'd rather have the world's dirtiest solar than the world's cleanest coal

In that case you will get more emissions than clean coal. Do you know how much mining goes into solar panels, for aluminium and glass etc (not counting the batteries that usually accompany them)? The dirtiest solar panels cost far more emissions than they will ever save.

Still cleaner than the cleanest coal.

People how think that solar panels are zero impact on the environment are the ones who don't know the science.

The term "Clean Coal" should be banned. Anyone or publication guilty of using it, should be fined. For creating a public nuisance. Not to mention the description is fundamentally dishonest. Creating a distraction from the serious issue of decarbonizing the economy.
