    Tony, you're 100 per cent wrong, writes Greg Sheridan https://www.theaustralian.com.au/opinion/columnists/greg-sheridan/abbotts-antiimmigration-push-dead-buried-and-cremated/news-story/a7efe79d4e4f43e4963f8998dd3fb8d9 … @TonyAbbottMHRpic.twitter.com/gs7AlwHzoZ

Tony Abbott was expressing what most people are saying as usual ! Is it Abbott hatred or are you so out of touch with reality you write this rubbish ! Look at Schools, Houses, Units, Transport , Roads , Hospitals , Low wages ! WTF does it take to wake you up !

No. He's 100% right about immigration. There were well over half a million people who arrived in a year, mix of permanent & temporary legal arrivals, there were less than that number of jobs created overall, unemployment rate hasn't changed & Aust citizens aren't being helped.

Young people can't afford houses as supply can''t keep up with demand from mass immigration, rents are unaffordable, road congestion is out of control and services are at a breaking point, but Tony Abbott is wrong is he? Wow.

Greg, like most of his elite colleagues don't have to witness the third worlders in full flight, once nice suburbs turned into third world shit holes etc. Nothing wrong with immigration, but we seem to get the international duds.

Greg, you seem to have attacked the man instead of addressing the facts. The points Mr Abbott makes and his rationale makes sense and sideway comments such as linking Mr Trump's action does you little credit.

@TonyAbbottMHR is generally pretty much on the money with his views. Do we want/need 200,000 new people in a year?

If you want wage growth, stop the labour over-supply resulting from record immigration, especially that which occurs under the (fake) skills visa program

It's is a small cut to Aust immigration, considering the whole flow. It will help some Aust citizens, where business will need to source local talent, & with govt, invest in development & training; increase wages, business, employment & skills outcomes for Aust citizens.

Greg Sheridan is a centerist marshmallow. How can Sheridan sleep at night with the many splinters in his bum from all the fence sitting he does? But hey thatbfence sitting keeps him employed at the Australia and out of controversy. Greg always runs to the safe space!

Says the Foreign editor. Stick to your area Greg and go and see how the average Australian is struggling. Have a look at the numbers who are having to move out of Sydney and Melbourne because they can't afford to live anymore where their families have lived for generations.

You're not wrong Tony. Do a poll on this and see what the average Aussie thinks! We haven't got room, or jobs, or housing. We just give them welfare. Where's the sense in that?

this article has a simplistic and dopey undertone. Lacks the basic understanding of geopolitics, macroeconomics, anthropology or any disipline of evidentual fact.
