Not the economy? Indigenous welfare in the bush? Growing crime in his own state? Job insecurity? No? More tokenism. More virtue signalling.

Great news! The day the British invaded the Aboriginal nations is such a shamefully disrespectful day to celebrate Australia Day. 1 January, Federation Day, would be far more appropriate.

You’re still celebrating the landing of the first fleet. What’s the difference what date on that case?

This is so stupid. No matter what date, you will still be celebrating the landing of the first fleet at Sydney cove. Will protests still continue regardless of date? Of course. I say move on. More important issues.

The Greens’ 5-year plan are as follows: 2018 = Change date of Australia Day 2019 = Push for an Australian republic 2020 = Change the Australian flag (new flag must consist of hammer and sickle) 2021 = Remove symbols of British heritage 2022 = Outlaw the use of English

The logical date is January 1st, when the federal constitution became effective in 1901. But that’s already NYE. Alternatively the date in which the constitution passed through the British Parliament. Hmm. Not so Australian. Maybe Henry Parkes DOB!

Easy to see he doesn't give a stuff about the real issues in Australia today ,changing Australia Day is about controlling the lives of every Australian they won't stop until they control you totally including your assets so be careful what you wish for people
