One of the most partisan & ideological articles passing as “journalism” I’ve seen in a long while. The understanding of the facts surrounding the basic issues it seeks to address, from the climate (not “weather”!) to social cohesion, is ideologically tinted and laughably poor.

Chris nails it. One of the best articles of all time. It is the climate change club that jumps on the weather and that is what Chris is pointing out. Don’t be disengenous.
-
Indeed, some do. Climate change is not weather, but the alteration of weather patterns over time. To diminish climate change, a very real threat, to merely a matter of weather and higher electricity prices as Chris does is much more disingenuous.
-
I don’t think you read my tweet mate.
-
I did
I agree that people from both sides of the debate use weather incorrectly as ‘evidence’ or otherwise. However, I disagree with Chris’ dismissive attitude towards climate change in favour of short term issues. The problem is bigger than electricity prices. -
Yeah but there is no point us having high electricity costs and sending industry overseas, it is the same planet.
-
True, coal burnt anywhere is bad for all of us. If only we could somehow get our electricity from something free.. like the sun or wind. Too bad we don’t have either of those resources in Australia

-
Agreed. If the government subsidised them half as much as they do the fossil fuel industry we’d be in a much better place. Kudos to SA for their recent breakthroughs, still a long way and a lot of political will to go though.

It’s always the ABC presenting what Kenny pejoratively mocks as “facts” to attack Trump. Oh wait, what’s this in
@rupertmurdoch’s@WSJ Wall Street Journal?pic.twitter.com/agrbMfn5SA
-
Ha ha - from such a poorly circulated publication with such a small reader base this bizzaro-world perspective is written simply to try and maintain the failing publication’s relevance and stir up a fight so their pathetic columnists get invited onto ABC shows
#auspol -
So poorly circulated Rupert tips in $30 mil p.a to keep his opinions spewing out. Nothing main stream about the oz except the fish and chips it used to wrap at days end.
-
And the conservatives work hard to ensure he pays no tax & give him million dollar hand outs

How could anyone write such nonsense. The "Bizarro" world you talk about is the one you live in. You ... Murdoch's performing lapdog, will never become a real journalist. You need to do better 5/10
Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

"but in the mainstream"...lol. I have wondered if Kenny actually believes he is part of the mainstream or is just delusional for pay.
-
Well, everyone HE knows believes it's true...

At least I spend my money not taxpayers.
-
Clearly you’re not spending your money wisely.
-
Which is not good because i don’t hav me great deal left once I have paid for the lifestyles of the many.
-
So stop wasting it with the Australian subscription
-
How about I just hand it all over to the govt and it can decide the best way to spend it. They do a great job with the rest of it.
