What an unethical blatant piece of bullshit. Whilst the US was cooler than usual THE REST OF THE PLANET WAS WARMER THAN USUAL.

When I was a young farmer ... long ago ... that was the claim, that we were headed for another ice age ... then it became climate warming, then it became climate change ... then it became anthropological climate change ... but no-one speaks of the HUGE increase in humans on earth

So glad you have though. WE have almost trebled in numbers in my lifetime and I've hopefully 25 more to go. This was talked about 40 odd years ago and no one has done a thing about it (except China's dreadful policy which utterly failed). And the CO2/methane we emit.......??

I raised this once with a 'true believer' who told me humans, and population growth, were 'climate neutral' ... I nearly fell off my stool!

Pseudoscience.... Ganopolski et al. (Nature, 2016): The current pace of CO2 emissions will delay the onset of the next ice age by 100,000 years.

No more global warming. "Climate change" allows them to be apocalyptic on hot and cold days

As well as being completely and utterly wrong this article also contains the myth that most scientists claimed in the 70s we were descending into another ice age. See here: http://journals.ametsoc.org/doi/abs/10.1175/2008BAMS2370.1 … Complete rubbish

No it is getting hotter. But Rupert thinks climate change is alarmist nonsense. So I guess you have to write crap like this periodically. Pays the mortgage I guess.

We are late into the interglacial period, when it ends it will only show that the universe is not aware of our existence.

Can someone help me.... if carbon dioxide causes global warming... what causes global cooling? And should a price be put on emissions as a payment TO so called polluters?

CO2 causes life and reacts to climate change with a roughly 800yr delay. CO2 emission by humans has no significant effect on climate.
