Its a relief! No more dreaming of a time that never was! Obviously too much tennis is not good for insight & compassion!

#MargaretCourt has the full support of public. Turn your back on those that did not support your right to free speech

I agree, that’s why Court should have kept her prejudice to herself. She spouted off about apartheid in her playing days too.

Disagree. She has right to free speech. That is a fundamental right. To then threaten her with punishment by removing her name is wrong. That’s what racists do.

So which is it? Politics and sport shouldn’t mix or free speech? By the way free speech doesn’t equate to freedom from criticism. Nobody put a gun to her head. She knew what she was doing when she chose to use her celebrity to push an agenda.

A national sport represents a cross section of the community and should not have a bias. Court’s right to speech is to be protected. A national body should promote its sport not divisive social issues.

The Australian Open is a competition for individuals. The players aren’t representing their nation. It seems you’re cherry picking just who has free speech and who doesn’t. Court chose to share her dogma publicly, no one forced her. She has to deal with the fall out of her choice
