It's the LNP's of job recirculation, they reduce PS and save they say on wage costs and outsource the work, costing I'd suggest more than the PS wages. On top of that the big 4 consultants minimise tax whereas the 15k PS would've paid taxes. Not good thinking Matthias.

It’s all about the spreading of power, patronage & wealth as paybacks for Donors & Companies - think of the horror if Labor unions had companies that could be so utilised - private employment exges that John Howard created out of privatising centre link is a blatant cash for pals

The real question is - if the government had employed public servants, would that have been cheaper (using whole of life costing) than short term consultants?

Me thinks they know they’ll be looking for work soon. Hence the big spend up at the big four. Be interesting to see how many consultancy jobs for ex LNP pollies become available after the election

funnily it is almost always cheaper to have most services in house.. been thru this in the kennett era..forced to outsource .. cost and an arm and a leg and in then end all brought back inhouse ..cheaper and better service.

There must be more money in this country than what the Govt is telling us - which should be used for hospitals, education, & care of elderly or the homeless, & reduce our incredible debt. I What a selfish Govt by putting their needs 1st #auspol @TurnbullMalcolm @billshortenmp

Outsourcing government to corporate interests is corrupt. The Libs have sold our country to anyone who would pay & the cash is sitting in MPs' accounts in offshore havens. Treasonous conduct!
