Sorry but in Arabic this is a meaningless phrase.

In any language God IS great, if you're religious. Do you take cover when Christians say hallelujah or proclaim Jesus in public places? This is just a headline hook and irresponsible.

And Dimitrious Gargasoulas said he had a premonition from God - what’s your point?

Not only that gargasoulas, went into a church 30mins prior to the attack, interrupted church service, grabbed microphone from priest & began preaching, talking about how he is a saviour & people need t follow him due to government oppression? Seems political/religious, no terrorism

True but point is no Australian politician from liberal politicised it, like they dead the other guy few days ago? Both were ugly & barbaric events, but gargasoulas one was even bigger, much less outrage & no terrorism, even though he mentioned politics & religion

I've said "Jesus Christ" half a dozen times today, including when I noticed that you spelt "Allahu Akbar" wrong.

"Could have" .... I _could have_ said "Thanks, Allah" when I found $20 in a little-used coat pocket this morning. I didn't, but I _could have_. I remember the high hopes for integrity in journalism we all had when the Australian was founded. Such a shame.

My missus screams “oh my God” a lot in the bedroom. That doesn’t make her a radical Christian now does it?

He would have said, “Allahu Akbar,” which simply translates as “God is greatest”. Stop trying associate the phrase solely with terrorism.

Unconscionable. Trying to slander a religion for one man's crime. You've been at it since the weekend. Now watch. This scum mowed down 12 innocents. Use your same twisted logic here and drag his religion into his evil act.https://www.bbc.com/news/amp/world-australia-46188971?__twitter_impression=true …
