"3 Queensland MPs think violence against women is funny despite 10 women murdered in the month of October alone" - just in case your editor needs help with the headline.

Considering a woman owns it, I’d say the outrage should be toned down. There are fish n chip shops called “The Codfather”. Let’s ban them too because they obviously support the mafia. 🤦🏽‍♂️

if up to ~1.3 million people in your country were hurt by the mafia every year then that would probably be a pretty reasonable idea, no?

It’s about time Political parties stood up and stated out loud that they will not tolerate Political correctness and they will fight against it until it is defeated in all areas of government and those who purvey Political Correctness in Government will be fired

Or you could not make jokes about domestic violence. Seems easier and far more beneficial.

Getting this mad because people think you probably shouldn't tell jokes about domestic violence is a totally normal thing to do. If you were any good at telling jokes you'd still be fine without jokes about domestic violence.

That still makes what you said hugely insensitive and saying that maybe someone neither of us know might say something is no point at all.

More evidence that what the conservatives call "politically correct" is just common courtesy, civility and good manners. This is what we have come to, the government voting in support of racist tropes and now MP's endorsing DV as a joke.

Yes, because they know this will appeal to the right wing extremes of their constituency...the one’s they’ll otherwise lose to the redhead fish n chip lady in Canberra.
