Either way, let's do something that benefits Australia for Australians, not being dictated to by the dodgy UN. Same goes for climate change. The UN can take a flying leap!!

The phoney issues of our time - climate change and offshore detention. Phelps supports the drowning of children at sea and the freezing to death of pensioners. What a nice piece of work she is.

Of course she will be re-elected. She's representative of the rich, WHO CAN AFFORD to be #PC correct. When she puts wind towers in her electorate, mandates batteries at every house (they pay), demands everyone there take refugees into their homes, bans cars... THEN she's real.

Once their countries are back in their control, we can send them all home and teach them how to maintain their rights to life and happiness.

Just get the people off Nauru and Manus. If that means passing legislation banning them permanently from Australia, so be it. While we debate this ideology they remain stranded. Look at the bigger picture

Did anyone suggest just how many refugees Australia should take per annum? I doubt it . Off shore detention is crucial to protecting Australians way of life. #auspol

No it does not need to end - it sends a signal to the wave of people lined up in other countries that their effort to illegally get into Australia will be thwarted!

Yes its needs to end. These people ( those for whom I have spoken with first hand) are running from many different fears. And many running toward Australias hand outs. Maintain the women and children and the men tontake back their countries.

No! Off shore detention saves the lives of thousands more than it hurts, by deterring the risky ill informed dangerous boat trips and the rampant Indo people smuggler industry. One boat 226 people in the water This is the magnitude of what you encouragehttps://youtu.be/LPjzfGChGlE
