I like many others am a disillusioned Liberal. Nothing went “wrong” in Wentworth so no one to blame. Democracy works. Crossing fingers that soon Abbot, Dutton and other right wing Liberals pay for wasting our time.

What absolute PVO rubbish. As the sitting member for Wentworth & only”Liberal” likely to have appeal for many of the voters in this atypical electorate the expectation would be he would campaign for the Liberal candidate. His non appearance doomed Sharma. Should be expelled.

I get it. 9 negative stories about Malcolm then just 1 positive story just to show that Murdoch runs a balanced news network. Not.

I know how pathetic they are! Good on
@TurnbullMalcolm he's too good for those idyits... and would probably appreciate the genuine, intelligent and balanced@drkerrynphelps and the fact the#Wentwothvotes have chosen as they have! - 1 more reply

Turnbull was ultimately in a no win situation of his own making. By failing to confront the LNP right when he had the overwhelming support of the electorate, he ensured the eventual scuttling of his leadership.
-
Turnbull should have had an election as soon as possible after he was elected after Abbott. Then he would have had the clout to quash the far right. Not good at political moves

He said he was withdrawing from politics and he stuck to that word. The @LiberalsAus need to grow up and stop pining the blame on
@TurnbullMalcolm; the disaster in#WentworthVotes is nobody's fault but the people who created the mess by rolling him and electing@ScottMorrisonMP.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Yeah and if my mother was my father I would be confused Blah blah blah! The simple fact is that Malcolm Turnbull has proven himself to be a 'piece of work'

What rubbish. If turnball had offered his support to the Lib candidate he would have won. Simple. He didn’t do that out of spite. So yes he has to take some blame
-
Not that he really owed it to them. They clearly no longer represented what he believed in and he left

Given the close margin in Wentworth, if he had of campaigned, LNP would undoubtedly retained the seat. His actions were those of petty retribution from a supposed leader of this country. His behaviour validates the decision to relieve him of those responsibilities.
-
Or perhaps of a man who was not a leader and recognised that the party no longer represented his own believes. He owed them nothing
-
Called Abbott’s leadership spill, failed his own news poll test, called his own leadership spill, failed that test also and then trashed the safe seat of Wentworth to throw the govt into minority. Not sure he owed the party that much?

he didn't need to campaign, he just needed to offer a small gesture of support
