    “Magic Carpet Ride” is hilarious because they basically had the track down and sent singer John Kay home with a tape so he could come up with lyrics. He’d just bought a new stereo with his royalties from the first record, so the song’s just about how killer his stereo sounded 😂

    Recorded music is still so weird and interesting and mysterious to me. You can hear a song 1000 times on the radio they can put it in a cheesy movie they can play it in a viagra commercial and if yet, if you hear it in the right context, it totally kicks your ass
