Early drafts of #36questions included a narrator, and the writers found that it threw off the “intimacy” of the podcast both with the listener and within the characters’ relationship so it was eventually removed.

. @itsellenwinter on using a framing device (think audio logs/acknowledging the recording) consider “how does the device solve the problem?”

On including a narrator, @macwrites wanted to include his as his stories have a “noir-ish feel” but in order to make it feel different he made sure the narration was always in the present tense and cuts in and out of scenes with other characters.

All the panelists seem to agree that the biggest open space in podcasting in terms of genre are romcoms! Shout out to Deck the Halls with Matrimony for being one of the shows to fill this void.
