Oh my, time flies.
12 years ago, today. SpaceX launched Falcon 1's first successful flight and became the first successful orbital launch of any privately funded and developed, liquid-propelled carrier rocket. Many know about the Merlin and Raptor, but the Kestrel is where it all began!

Remember it so well. Final chance for SpaceX....but I recall feeling pretty confident as Flight 3 only failed because the booster "bounced" back towards the second stage when the engine burped some residue prop causing transient thrust.
