Thinking a lot about what “retro” means, related to games. So many 8- or 16-bit games are coming out now, the word “retro” sort of starts seeming like a misnomer.
Because yeah, all these new side-scrollers with 8- or 16-bit graphics certainly LOOK like “retro” games. But let me tell you, they do not necessarily play like them. Some do, sure.
