Today in Parliament we can acknowledge the heroism and grief of Australians in our words, but the truest acknowledgement will be in what we do. What we have been through as a nation must be a catalyst for doing things differently.

  2. Here's a tip Dave... Ask someone who is and then do what they say. Simples

  3. It's all about perspective Barnaby. Although pushing your denialist view in the face of overwhelming evidence is less about horses and hobbies than it is snouts in troughs

  4. Talking points from about 10 days ago: If asked any evidence based question about the rort respond with, 'I don't accept the premise of the question'. Don't make eye contact and immediately move on to another topic

  5. 'Play to our economic strengths and realise our opportunities.' You mean like Australia becoming a world leader in renewables in the transition away from fossil fuels. Oh that's right, that was Labor policy 🙄

  6. This guy couldn't be more unimpressive if he tried. How about instead of a branding exercise and spitting out some platitudes you actual DO something to mitigate the risk of future fires. You know ... like taking real action on climate change

It appears Scott Morrison's only contribution to this bushfire crisis has been to give the crisis a brand name. Instead of doing something about it. Which in itself is very on-brand for Scott Morrison.

This morning as the National Party possibly changes leaders again, towns in regional Qld have run out of water and volunteers are trucking in supplies because of the ongoing drought. The Nats don't care about regional Australians they care about protecting their own jobs.

Given that Scott Morrison when he became leader brought Stuart Robert and Sussan Ley back from sackings doesn’t that set the precedent that Barnaby Joyce can do the same with Bridget McKenzie if he wins today 🤷‍♂️

  10. I'm wondering if Barnaby is the Dutton of the Nationals ... manipulated by someone smarter to do the work and cop the flack so he can swoop in and pip him at the post

How bad are these LNP guys? You wouldn't trust them to watch over your sick mother if you ducked out to the toilet for 2 minutes you would have to take her handbag with you.. Liberal MP linked $500,000 to winning seat

Clive Palmer gave his UAP $83m+ for negative/scare ad spend to influence 2019 election (LNP preference deal). ⁩ reports biggest donation ever. Palmer, a climate sceptic, has Galilee Basin coal lease (Waratah Coal) now pushing export DAs with Adani/Gina Rinehart.
