Circulation of Murdoch's "national" is about 1% of the nation. Misleading concept "national daily".

Does this assume a “print reader” for every copy of your paper given away at airports and elsewhere?

hm yes well the establishment that I work in gets delivery of a hundred #TheAustralians every day, given free of charge to ppl...readership is one thing. I wonder how inflated that figure is compared to who actually reads the brain-dead slop served up within it's cobwebbed pages

Businesses subscribe because they think they should. Makes a loss, so Murdoch props it up from other businesses. He keeps it for the power.

So much for the ABC's 'most trusted' boast. Here's an endorsement in news media by the Australian public where they're more than willing to put their money where their mouth is. No tax-grab required.

They don't? So instead of reading something they regard as credible and informative, readers are wasting their time on something likely to misinform them - is that what you're saying?

Hmm. I doubt very much whether the ABC's boast of 'most trusted' would emerge unscathed from any credible fact checker. Media is very much on the nose pretty much everywhere. Saying u trust the ABC above others is a bit like saying you'd prefer 2have malaria rather than smallpox.
