This grocery store is protecting its $1.19 Cafe Bustelo instant in a case. Not the $8.69 Starbucks instant coffee tho. ¿Qué onda?pic.twitter.com/C2OnDkfL0o

Since a lot of you are asking: this is the Ralph’s at 5080 Rodeo Rd in Baldwin Village/LA. To be fair, there are a few labels in English in the case — but any and all labels in Spanish are in the locked case.pic.twitter.com/cXhHewHTGC
Maybe this coffee display is one of Trump's wall prototypes.
Iirc there was a video on Facebook recently about a Walmart doing this with black hair products too
Yes companies normally lock things up when they keep on getting stolen.
Pretty sure it's not about the language of the packaging since they have Folgers & Tasters Choice in there as well They just have the popular instant coffees in there
hmmm maybe they're afraid the foreign coffee will try to steal the Starbucks coffees job?
Stores often lockup the items that are stolen the most. It's called theft prevention. Although it could be a grand conspiracy to keep Spanish speaking community from getting too 'woke' from the caffeine.
A lot of Groceries stores and chain Pharmacy’s also lock up the infant formula.. and items that many who use EBT cards buy..
Those r the high theft items. Yes, people steal coffee. I see yuban and Don Francisco's out, So, not entirely true.
Oh that is some

Please let us know if you hear back from @RalphsGrocery. This is certainly...unusual.
this is done in puerto rico with specific brands of coffee that are from there....so maybe this LA ralph's store heard about it and are following suit? i dunno.
Ooo wow so now if we Latin now we can go sue Ralphs that's offensive
Boycott Nestlé: Crunch Nestlé Quik!
