Often I feel that Latinx is as ridiculous an identity as the former British colonies forming together to make a cultural identity. Latinidad, at its core, is the countries' shared history of Iberian colonialism.

i see where you're coming from--there's refuge within a word, an identity--it makes us feel safe, seen, accepted. i think as a community, the conversation hasn't been delved in deep enough
